Kleenex and Coffee/Lemonade

All incoming Kindergarten parents are invited to a Kleenex and Coffee/Lemonade Social on August 23 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. or 1:00-2:00 p.m.  located at the young kids playground (west side of Lenski).  This is a good opportunity for new parents to talk with experienced parents or to meet with other parents going through the same experiences.  Parents can also find out more about the inner workings of our great school.  Refreshments & coffee or lemonade will be provided.

Questions?  Please contact Kim Miller at kimberleighmiller@yahoo.com.

Lenski Handbooks

Family handbooks that were not picked up at the Open House will be sent home with your child at the end of this week.  For your convenience, a pdf version is also available on the Lenksi website, or you can click here.  This year's Handbook contains descriptions of all the PTO activities throughout the year and is a great resource as Volunteer Sign-Up gets started next week.

Attention Car-Rider Parents!

Would you like to share pick up duties with other Lenski parents in your neighborhood or nearby neighborhoods? Renata Donnell has volunteered to be our carpool coordinator and collect information from interested parents in the hopes of promoting carpooling during afternoon pickup time at Lenski.  If you would like to participate, click here for a copy of the Car Pool Form.

Questions?  Contact Renata at 303-347-9010 or email Donnells@4tv.net

Lenski Accountability Committee Nominees

John Kirke and Michael Law have submitted applications for serving on the Lenski Accountability Committee.  Please stop by the LAC table during your child's Curriculum Night and cast your vote.  You may also click here for a copy of the ballot and bring it to Curriculum Night.  Thank you for your participation!

**Peanut-Free Allergy Alert**

Please remember that there are life threatening food allergies at Lenski.  For the well being of all students, we are asking your support for:

Washing hands before and after eating.  These procedures will also provide precautions for the expected flu season.

Not sharing food because of specific food allergies.

Talking to your classroom teacher about specific food allergies in your child's class.

When bringing in food for your child's class, please discuss safe options with your child's teacher.

Both the frequency and severity of food allergies for our children are on the rise.  Again, we ask for your support and understanding.  We all need to focus on keeping our Lenski students safe from not only germs, but from the potential of a life threatening reaction from allergies.  Click here for more information.
