February 4th Dolin Hill
We are fortunate in being able to visit "Dolin Hill", owned by our long time member Dick Watkins.
The Property located in Calhoun County has dramatic topographic relief reminiscent of the mountains and upper piedmont, with elevations ranging from 94 to 324 feet and offers spectacular views of the adjoining Congaree National Park; at 324 feet, the Property is the highest along the south bank of the Congaree River.
This Brown Bag will definitely be one for hiking boots and walking sticks!
Be warned this hike will require moderate
physical exertion.
Email monica@congareelt.org to reserve your spot. |

COWASEE BASIN
THE GREEN HEART OF SOUTH CAROLINA

AVAILABLE MARCH 2012
We are very pleased to announce that we have a beautiful table top book that is being published and will be available in March of 2012.
This book, using beautiful photography from more than twenty photographers, and text by John Cely, is intended to inform the reader about the beauty and values of the COWASEE Basin. A greater understanding and appreciation for this wonderful area by the general public should help with its protection.
Interested in ordering a copy? Please email Monica and she will give you a call or send you an email when the books are in!
