2011 Land Protection Update
Currently working on 5 new easements totaling 2,500 acres
The 5 new easements already in the works include 3 in Richland county and 2 in Sumter county. In addition to these 5, we have several other strong possibilities and are expecting 2011 to be a big year for land protection in central South Carolina. For information about conservation easements, contact John Cely, CLT Land Protection Director. |

Public Comment Period Now Open for CLT Accreditation Application
CLT is strongly committed to meeting national quality standards for protecting land and is nearing the completion of our application for accreditation through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.
The Land Trust Accreditation Commission is an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance and conducts an extensive review of each applicant's policies and programs. The Commission accepts signed, written comments on pending applications. Comments must relate to how the Congaree Land Trust complies with national quality standards which address the ethical and technical operations of a land trust.
We invite our members and supporters to participate in the public comment period for our accreditation application.
