7th Annual Conservation Lobby Day

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

CLT is proud to sponsor this important and educational day as hundreds of conservation community members from around the state gather to meet, greet and encourage elected leaders to support the Common Agenda priorities. The day includes a morning briefing at the Columbia Museum of Art followed by a walk to speak to legislators about conservation bills. During the afternoon, participants attend committee meetings and enjoy free time to watch green films, participate in a happy hour or tour the city, the art museum and the State House grounds. All particpants are invited to an evening oyster roast at 701 Whaley Street.  Click here to register or view the detailed schedule.

Land Protection Update

630 acres of new easements currently in the works

We are working on two new easements totaling 630 acres: a 150 acre recreational tract in Orangeburg county with wetlands and upwood hardwood forest, and a 480 acre farm land in Lee county.  We also have several more prospects likely to cour later this year. For information about placing on easement on your property, read the Basics of Conservation Easements or contact John Cely at (803) 988-0000.
