Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve |
The parking lot repaving project at Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve will commence next week. As such, the preserve parking lot, located off of Cuba Road near Ela Road, will be closed to the public from Monday, August 2, 2010 through Friday, August, 13, 2010 for construction.
The trails will remain open to local residents walking or biking in and be accessible to visitors in cars using the Citizens Park (Barrington Park District) parking lot. The Executive Director of the Barrington Park District was contacted in advance regarding this matter and is aware that they might see an increase in vehicular traffic, but confirmed that they do not have any major events the weekend of August 7-8 which could create conflict.
Signs have been posted at all of the preserve's designated access points alerting the public to the closure and similar information posted on the District's website.
All work will be completed by 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 13th and the preserve parking lot re-opened at that time, if not sooner. |
