GREAT NEWS!! I've just been informed that Old McHenry Road has been re-opened to through traffic a full 4 days earlier than advertised! CN has completed work on the railroad crossing upgrade and taken down the barricades as of 3pm today. There is a bump at the crossing but it will be leveled out once the final pavement surface is put in place as part of Lake County Department of Transportation resurfacing project from US 12 to Quentin Road. Please keep in mind there will be daily lane closures while the resurfacing project is in progress. Thanks for your patience and understanding as this improvement is being put in place.
