"WISH YOU WERE HERE!"
Have you ever received one of those postcards with the above, disingenuous add-on, something written by the sender to make the receiver feel better about missing out on all the fun?! Well, this is our email equivalent!
The 2010/2011 school year begins with a bang -- and the fall semester trip to New England -- in just two and half more weeks. Actually, the first day of school will be Tuesday, August 31st; we depart for Acadia National Park, Maine, on Labor Day, September 6th (the following week). But seriously, we really do wish you could be with us. Parents are always welcome, as, too, are other close friends and supporters for the school -- with adequate notice and preparation. Text or email me to let me know of your interest. I'd enjoy the adult company, if only for part of the trip!

As
many miles as we put on our Veritas van last year, this year promises
to hold even more travel. We'll be heading out to Carlsbad Caverns in
October and down to Corpus Christi in November. In January we'll make
our mid-term retreat trek to the school condo in NC and at the end of
the semester we travel all the way up to Yellowstone and the Grand
Tetons in Wyoming. It won't put more miles on the van, but I've
blocked out a two-window in April for an optional trip to the alpine
countries of Europe (Bavaria, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). If
that trip is a bust I've got another domestic trip in mind.
I'm
going to try real hard to post photos on our website as we experience
things throughout the year, so log on often, especially during and
immediately after scheduled trips, to experience these special events
with us!
'Til next time, Jerry Sams Veritas Varsity |
