Season's Greetings!
Christmas Star
Greetings!

The Christmas star is so popular because of what it symbolizes -- hope.  The magi of old had a vision of a new and better world led by a different kind of ruler than any the world had ever known.  They followed their vision to an unlikely place, a little village in the middle of nowhere.  You see, that's the thing about hope; it's always popping up when you least expect it (but most need it!) and leading to the strangest places.

At Veritas we're hoping great things for the future of education for teens in Central Texas.  What are your hopes this holiday season?  As I watched the Susan Boyle TV special the other night I was reminded that we're never too old to hope, to dream, to envision a better tomorrow.  This is a great time of year to reconnect with that important word of encouragement.  So here's wishing you hearts filled with hope, not just as you celebrate the holiday, but throughout the coming year.

Wishing you all the best!

Veritas Blog

So far, we're evidently blogging ourselves!  I don't mind that necessarily (it is, after all, just a glorified way of talking to oneself, and that's a prerogative for the elderly in our society!).  On the other hand, the purpose for initiating this particular blog was to generate a little dialog regarding important educational issues.

Won't you take the time to go to our new blog site, www.veritasvarsity.blogspot.com and register as a "follower" so you can join that dialog, if only as an interested bystander?  And think of others who might be interested in this, passing it along as appropriate.  I've already maxed out my contacts with this mailing list.  One primary way for this to grow is for you to do the same!  Hey, it's not as if I'm asking for a year-end donation to our "worthy cause," you know!  I'm just asking for a few moments of your time to read an article weekly and pass it along to others.  (But I kind of like that donation idea!!! -- just kidding.)

Merry Christmas
 &
  Happy New Year

P.S.  Look for our upcoming ad in the January Wacoan.
