Upcoming Events
State Street will look like a movie set with hundreds of antique cars on display at this year's 5th Annual Car Show, Sunday July 15th. Hot colors. Shiny metal. Chrome galore. They sputter and roar. This event has been growing in popularity every year and attracts a fresh set of faces to town. We encourage merchants to be open that day and take advantage of the large influx of potential customers. Sponsored by the MBA, BCVB, Otto's BMW and the Delco Cruisers.

And don't forget, 2nd Saturday on July 14th
is also MAC's Bastille Day Celebration!
Fine Arts Festival
It won't be long until summer is behind us, but we have some great weather to still enjoy in September. The Community Arts Center (in Wallingford) will again be hosting its Fine Arts & Crafts Festival along State Street on September 22nd. We received such positive feedback on last year's event, especially the new layout of positioning the artists in the middle of State Street on the trolley tracks to keep the merchants visible and accessible.

The Arts Center is offering Media merchants a $10 discount on quarter page ads in the Festival ad book. In addition, they will provide a small window decal that says you support the arts. Click here to learn more and signup.
MBA Event Reports
The MBA is now publishing reports following every event to summarize the planning involved, attendance, profit/loss, advertising, sponsorship, press coverage, observations & recommendations.  Click here to review this year's reports.

Parking Card Rechargers
The Technology Committee of Media Borough Council is inquiring if Media merchants would be interested in placing a parking debit card kiosk in an assessable indoor location within your business. The kiosk will be placed at no cost and your business will be listed on the Borough website in recognition for your public service. If you are willing to provide this, please contact Jeff Smith at jasmith@dca.net or 610-566-5210, ext. 242.
We would like to hear what topics interest you, and we are also always looking for fresh participation, so please feel free to attend a board meeting, drop-in on a committee meeting or contact us (mba@mediaborough.com / 610.566.5039) anytime.

In an effort to communicate more effectively with local businesses and organizations, the MBA will be regularly sending important information related to our business community via this newsletter service: ConstantContact. logoThe MBA is committed to getting information to the entire business community. Please call if you would like a hard copy of this newsletter.
