RockIt Body Holiday Challenge was a huge success! Our challengers did great! We can't believe how many members said, "I'm feeling great in my jeans!" The goal of the holiday challenge was to attend at least four Rockit Body classes and an additional hour of cardio exercise per week. All challengers were measured for starting body fat and inches around waist and hip circumference. Our in-house dietitian, Sumner Brooks, provided each participant with a personalized calorie target to match energy needs with workouts and fitness goals.
We are so proud of the hard work and dedication our members put forth, especially during the holiday season. In particular we'd like to acknowledge our Biggest Loser, Lisa Preimesberger. Lisa lost 6% Body Fat, lost 2.5 inches off her waist, lost 2.25 inches off her hip and lost 1.5" off her mid thigh circumference!! She also lost 11 lbs of fat and didn't lose an ounce of lean tissue! Lisa, and all who completed the challenge are an inspiration.

RockIt Recess has a new Playground Rule!
Towels are REQUIRED during RockIt Recess classes This class moves between stations, meaning everyone shares equipment. We want to share, but we don't want to share our sweat!
If students forget their towels, they will need to go home and get one. Otherwise, we have towels available to purchase for $7.00 (including tax). RockIt Recess is our super fun, action-packed boot camp and circuit training class. Stations are set up to tone your tush and get your heart rate up, up and away! You might start off your workout doing the crab walk, then push-ups on the Bosu, then TRX suspension exercises, then doing the hula hoop, and then doing the hula hoop while squatting! If you haven't tried it, put this class at the top of your resolutions list: YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

 Vegan Thai Coconut Vegetable Soup
Serves 8 Total: 30 Minutes 6 cups water or vegetable stock 1 stalk lemongrass, bottoms and outer stalks removed 2 cans coconut milk 2-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled 1 teaspoon lime zest 4 cups assorted chopped vegetables (carrots, zucchini, broccoli, eggplant, mushrooms) 1 cup yellow onion, sliced into quarter moons 2 red or green chiles, seeded and diced 1 lime, juiced 1/4 cup Bragg's Liquid Aminos 1 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro 4 cups shredded napa cabbage, lightly packed 1 cup mung bean sprouts, optional garnish
1. Place the water in a large pot over medium heat. Slice the lemongrass in half lengthwise and crush it by lightly pounding with a wooden spoon or other heavy object, and add it to the pot. Using a blender, combine about half of the coconut milk with the ginger, and lime zest on high speed for 20 seconds or until there are no chunks. Add the remaining coconut milk and blend for 5 to 10 seconds to incorporate. Pour this mixture into the water and continue cooking over medium heat while you prepare the vegetables.
2. Place each vegetable into the soup pot as you go, starting with the hardest, longest-cooking veggies. Add the onion and chiles, cover, and heat for 10 minutes or until all the veggies are tender.
3. Add the lime juice, Bragg's, and salt, and stir. Cook for 2 more minutes and taste. If you think the soup needs more lemongrass, ginger, or lime zest, blend more now with 1/2 cup of the broth. Otherwise, add the cilantro and cabbage, stir well, and remove the lemongrass stalks. Serve immediately, garnish with mung bean sprouts, if using.

Wait List
We are aware that signing up for classes can look daunting sometimes, as we often appear to be booked solid for two weeks in advance. However, did you know that if a class looks booked, you can still sign up for it, and you will be put on a waitlist? This is often a great way to get into the class you want! Clients overbook classes, then cancel out before the 12 hour late- cancel cutoff. So, if you are on the waitlist, there is a pretty good chance that you will often get in.
If you are put in the class, you will be notified by email. Hit 'reply' and write 'confirm' or 'cance'l within six hours of your notification (or if there is less than six hours before your class, please email us immediately). You will not be charged a late fee, if you cancel after notification. But, if you confirm the spot, then the 12 hour cancellation policy is in effect.
If we do not hear from you, we will cancel your space and give it to the next person.
Tip- If there are cancellations within 12 hours of a class for which you are waiting, you may not automatically get in and be notified. So, please check the live online schedule to see if a spot opened up. If there is an open spot, you can sign up and grab it!
