Impact of Climate Change on
Wildlife in New England
Saturday, February 19th, 1 to 3 p.m.
Breakheart Reservation, Saugus
 Please join the Saugus River Watershed Council at Breakheart Reservation in Saugus on Saturday, February 19th for some winter fun. Our program will begin with an indoor presentation about the impact of climate change on wildlife in New England. Participants will then join wildlife expert Bob Metcalfe of New England Discovery for a leisurely walk in search of wildlife tracks and signs along the trails of Breakheart.
This FREE program is appropriate for families and will include fun activities for children. All participants should wear boots and warm clothing suitable for outdoor exploration. In case of inclement weather an alternative indoor program will be held.

This event is part of the Saugus River Watershed Council's Climate Change Awareness Program funded in part by the Massachusetts Environmental Trust.

Protecting Watershed Resources
in a Changing Climate

Workshops for municipal officials, environmental professionals and community leaders
Mark your calendars now for this half day of workshops focused on protecting watershed resources in a changing climate. Workshops will focus on providing local decision makers, community leaders, and planners with tools and information needed to protect watershed resources and local infrastructure while dealing with heavy rainstorms, extended dry periods, sea level rise, and other environmental challenges associated with our changing climate. Experts will also provide guidance for meeting the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection's new stormwater management requirements for municipal systems.
