Feature Plant: Araucaria araucana
 FEATURE PLANT: Araucaria araucana
Common name: Monkey Puzzle Tree by Rick Los, director of horticulture
I want to change my focus this time around when writing about a feature plant and choose something more unique and unusual (some even say grotesque!). I wouldn't go quite that far because there is something quite captivating about this ancient conifer that entices many of our visitors to photograph and ask questions about it..

This Season's Recipe
Thorny Rose
Picture this: You're enjoying a fabulous lunch in The Dining Room, sitting on the porch, the sun on your face, looking out over the Rose Garden. Your server brings you a Thorny Rose...
The RPB The name for The RPB has a double meaning. It is an acronym for the ingredients - raspberry, peach, bubbles - and it is also the initials of Robert Pim Butchart, the man whose limestone quarry eventually gave birth to The Butchart Gardens
