It was great to see everyone at the picnic! We had over 80 people join us on that beautiful afternoon. It was nice to see so many of our past families and our volunteers come together.

Brainstorming
Session

Family Promise would like to set up a brainstorming session with anyone who is interested in lending ideas for fundraisers, events, or other opportunities that can be led by our volunteers or staff. 

Please let us know if this is something you would be interested in. If we hear from a good number of people we will set up a date and time
for a meeting.

"Singing for a Family Promise, Singing for a Dream"
Nov. 20th 4:00pm 
The Unitarian Universalist Choir led by Barbara Wagner, will perform a concert to benefit Family Promise on Sunday, Nov. 20th
-Doors open at 3:00p.m.

Our Family Updates

Kevin, Mel, and the Kids

Kevin, Mel, and the kids are all settled into their new
pool
apartment and are doing well. Lenai is in school and loving it! The boys are getting big and keeping Mel busy.



Vickie and the Boys

Vickie and the boys are enjoying their new apartment. The boys are on their school football team and are keeping busy with school work and football practice. Their team is currently 4-2 this season!

Our Accomplishments 

Since we reopened our doors:
  • We served 25 families (53 children) who have found homes and continue to move forward in their lives 
  • We have a full staff, including an Executive Director, VISTA, Office Manager, Social worker and Van Driver
  • We have 14 Host Sites
  • We have acquired a donation of a storage facility that allows us to receive donations for household items for our families
  • We have increased our connection to other agencies that serve the homeless population in WNY
  • We have built an active and engaged board
  • We held a fund raising dinner and volunteer appreciation event
