Dear CGS Parent,
The Good Shepherd

Next week (November 15, 17, and 20), we invite all families to celebrate mass together with us on the day of your child's catechesis session.  Did you know that the word "Eucharist" derives from a Greek word meaning "thanksgiving?" We look forward to giving thanks and celebrating the Eucharist together with our fellow CGS friends in anticipation of the feast of Thanksgiving.

Regardless of the mass your child attends, we ask that your child bring nonperishable food to donate to the Food Pantry. This is one way we can respond in gratitude to God's abundant gifts to us.

These special mass celebrations will be accompanied by a meal and a family Advent Wreath-Making project. At the event, we will accept $20 donations for the Advent Wreath materials. Meals are provided compliments of St. Teresa Parish.

This is also a chance to visit with the catechists and allow your child to show you what they have been working on in the Atrium.  And of course, you'll enjoy getting to know other CGS families.

Please RSVP (by the day before the event) to Kate Lynch, at kolynchdre@gmail.com, the number of family members who will be eating with us.

Please see specific schedules for your Atrium day below.

Peace,

Kate Lynch (Director of Religious Education)

Lina Hilko (editor)

Tuesday and Thursday Families

For those on Tuesday (Nov. 15) or Thursday (Nov. 17), catechesis for the children will begin at the normal time (4:30PM) in the regular location (the Religious Education Center). Parents and family members are invited to join us in the church at 5:15PM for a mass of thanksgiving.

Immediately following mass, we will return to the Religious Education Center. We invite the whole family for a Pizza Dinner and a family Advent Wreath-Making event starting at 6PM.

Sunday Families
For those on Sunday (Nov. 20), please join us for mass in the church at 9AM and for Brunch at 10:15AM in the Religious Education Center.  The families are then invited to attend a presentation given in their child's Atrium.  This will be followed by family Advent Wreath-Making until the end of the session at 11:45AM.

Additional Note for Sunday, December 4th
Sunday families - Please note that December 4th is Breakfast with Santa after 9AM mass. We will still hold Atrium that day but we will open doors at 10:45AM (with presentations starting after 11AM) in order to give families time to enjoy breakfast and Santa first. Atrium will end at noon that day.
