Greetings! Have you finished your holiday decorating? Well, I haven't even started mine yet, but I thought I'd share some easy tips for using garlands to make great vignettes.

This center- piece was made with crackled glass candleholders (glass beads & short pillars candles inside), cut pieces of garland (just snip with wire cutters), pinecones, berry sprigs and a small cardinal statue. A few cinnamon sticks were added in for a yummy scent.

This frosted garland was wrapped in red lights, small red picks (check Michael's or Joanne's), and red glass bulbs (be sure to hook them on the garland so you're not sweeping the shards up off the floor like I was!).
The mantle below was deep enough to require two strands of garland. Mesh garland from Sam's Club was intertwined with the garlands and white lights. Assorted picks were added, along with beautiful glass tree bulbs, pine cones and ribbon scraps tied to floral sticks. The deer ties in with the two large deer resting on the hearth.

 | | It's all in the Details | For another table setting, I used many of the client's own dining decor to assemble this extended centerpiece.

Three large square napkins were arranged on the diagonal, mesh ribbon was used under the garland, and then the small details - the pink berries and gold poinsettias were actually napkin rings. Ribbons were tied to the glass candle-holders and small votives placed so that every seat had a candle nearby. The rest of the cinnamon sticks finished it off.

Have a wonderful holiday season and a very Merry Christmas!
