Is it important to fully prepare a home before any potential buyers see it?

1) You only have 1-2 minutes to make a favorable first impression, which is very difficult to change thereafter.
2) Your first wave of "shoppers" are likely to be:
- Ready to buy.
- Familiar with what is on the market.
- Waiting for the right property.
Don't lose that group by saying, "We'll just put it on the market as is and see how it goes before we stage it." Then you have to wait for more buyers to get "ready," with only a stale listing to show them (meaning they will offer a lower price). Perhaps you will have already dropped your price.
Staging your home before placing it on the market is one of the three crucial parts of real estate selling (along with the right price and good marketing). Give your buyers the best chance to succeed by staging first!
