Last weekend Glen Hunton and Kurt Lehn, our new co leaders for 2012, with the help of Steven Wood as an interpreter, went on a fact finding trip to Mexico. They visited the three churches that we as Journey Church serve. The purpose/goal was to get re-acquainted & confirm that we will return at Easter time to continue the many ongoing programs we facilitate. They had fruitful discussions with the three pastors: Sergio, Fernando, and Rafael. They discussed the VBS program, Men's and Women's ministry, serving the people and families at the Basura (dump), and construction projects. Among the list of projects, we will be building a small one-room house for a church family that currently lives in a house built of mud and used pallets, and dirt for a floor. Pastor Dave has encouraged us to ask the congregation to sponsor Spanish Bibles so that we may hand them out in the communities while we are there in April. Greatest Needs - 1) Translators of any age; 2) a VBS leader and helpers. Please offer prayers of thanksgiving that God will provide abundantly. In 10 short Saturdays we will be on the road on our way to Mexico. The team is beginning to take shape and we encourage those thinking about going to take the step of faith soon and commit to this mission of service. Praise the Lord!
