Prayer Ministry

Praying HandsPraying for and with those with illness, needs, praise, support, travel, charities and other requests.  Our JC Prayer Chain is always available for prayer requests.

Prayer requests may also be made on the attendance pads or prayer cards found in the pews. Place the prayer card in the offering plate or hand it to an usher as you leave. You can also dial the church office and select extension #49 to leave your prayer request.

If you wish to participate in prayer for others, please contact Alice Churchill, Jim Landua or Brenda Wood.

2011 Christmas Eve

Why not invite another family in your neighborhood to our candlelight worship service this year?  On Sunday, December 11 ushers will present you with a booklet to personalize and use to invite someone to share this special evening with you and the Journey Church family.  Please take this opportunity to share God's love with someone.

(Discipling Our Nations Effectively)

Christmas in Dakar is much like it is here with us. We have celebrated with giving to the less privileged chil-dren by the Angel Tree Outreach and the Christmas Toys Box. Rev. Doris Ba writes:

"In Dakar we have an organization called Operation Enfant de Noel meaning the Operation Christmas Children Senegal. This group brings in thousands of gifts for children in the nation. Our Church registered with them for 500 gifts which cost $1.50 for a package. Our church will be paying $150 for these 500 gifts.

During the Christmas season our outreach will be to the less privileged children, handicapped, and the public school in our community. We are planning to use this opportunity to also start a Children's Club. For the distribution we plan to involve the town chief and other government officers.

Do be in prayer that God will use this means to transform lives and bring joy to the hearts of children as the church extends the love of Christ to them. There are many children who have never been privi-leged to receive a gift from anyone."
