Prayer Ministry

Praying for and with those with illness, needs, praise, support, travel, charities and other requests. Our JC Prayer Chain is always available for prayer requests.
Prayer requests may also be made on the attendance pads or prayer cards found in the pews. Place the prayer card in the offering plate or hand it to an usher as you leave. You can also dial the church office and select extension #49 to leave your prayer request.
If you wish to participate in prayer for others, please contact Helene Croucher, Jim Landua or Brenda Wood. |

Our very own Jennifer Chamberlain in Concert!
Sunday July 24th at 4 p.m. Journey Church Sanctuary
This concert not only provides us a wonderful musical experience, but also gives the Journey church Family a unique opportunity to participate in Jennifer's artistic journey... Jennifer has been invited to participate in the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Germany, but must get there on her own. Donations to help with the cost of Jennifer's trip to Germany are being accepted at the concert.
Jennifer is a very gifted musician. You might not know that Jennifer has shared the stage with other great musicians such as Michael Carabello, Holly Stell, Hope Briggs, Steven Mackey, Jonathan Cain of the band "Journey," Jerry Martini (Sly & The Family Stone), members of the Doobie Brothers, Santana, Taj Mahal, Tower of Power and many others. She is also looking forward to her debut at Carnegie Hall in May of 2012.

MISSION CORNER
PRAISE GOD FOR ANSWERING PRAYER
Doris Ba reported July 1 that the Minister of Culture had gone on the air to call for peace stating that this was not the reputation that Senegal wants. Bishop Ba, Rev.Browne and a couple of other Evangelical minister's spoke on radio and TV. Bishop Ba and the Catholic Cardinal gave a press conference on Friday. Calmness has come to Dakar. What an amazing evidence of God's interceding!
Also an up-date on Pastor Toby from his wife, Judy."Thank you for praying for Toby these past two weeks. Prayer makes the difference
for all of us and I am grateful for yours. Toby feels more energy than he has in years and says that his brain feels alive again, like a heavy load has lifted. It's amazing how more oxygen makes such a difference. When he was discharged, the doctors told him that the only thing that needs healing are his suture sites - his sternum, and his arm and leg - where they harvested veins to use for the bypasses. The difference in Toby is truly miraculous. This has been a learning experience for both of us. We see how critical it is to be aware of and listen to our bodies so that we can make good decisions about caring for them. For Toby, a whole new world is opening to him - energy and a fully functioning brain. At Mercy, we found out that he still has some MRSA in his sinuses, so that has to be addressed as well as the whole healing process." |
