MISSION CORNER

UPDATE ON REV. GEORGE BARNETTGeorge Barnett

George's wife, Cyndi, writes "his health continues to improve at least lab-result wise.  He just cannot gain any weight.  As a bit of humor he says he is an Albino from Ethiopia!!  Ha-ha.  The real cause is that he had a procedure called a "Roux-en-Y" only 11 days after his transplant.  His common bile duct fell apart and his intestinal content was spewing into his body cavity causing tremendous infection. Recently he had  a major infection of the small intestine leading up to the liver area,  although a necessary procedure it caused complications as well.  He is such a strong man and we have such a strong God to support us. "Recently he went to the Urologist who planned to use robotics to remove a blockage that is between the kidney and bladder.  However the Transplant DR's say "NO, not yet". This really upset George that day, but now he is O.K. with that decision.  I'm happy that George can listen to another Dr's order --- that's hard for him to do (probably for us too if we were in his shoes!).

"We want to say thank you to our many friends at Journey Church who

continue to pray for us."
