Prayer requests may also be made on the attendance pads or prayer cards found in the pews. Place the prayer card in the offering plate or hand it to an usher as you leave. You can also dial the church office and select extension #49 to leave your prayer request.

DAVID AND ALESYA ANDRUSYAK - TAMBOV, RUSSIA
God moves in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. The Andrusyaks shared in the winter newsletter that a group of 20 men from Vietnam had come to Tambov to work in a shoe factory. They have a two year contract. One spoke some Russian and none spoke English. A couple of them were Christians and they all came to David's church. Last summer they had met a Vietnamese student in an outreach program at the University. He began coming and does the translation for them. They have been at-tending a weekly Bible class and "Hi", who is not as yet a Christian, does the translating. David was able to obtain the Jesus movie in Vietnamese. David sent an email on April 18 to report on Easter Sunday they will all share in an Easter supper and then watch the Jesus movie. He requests that we keep them in our prayers that God will speak to their hearts when they hear Jesus' story in their home language. What an amazing story! It is always such a joy to hear how God moves in His ministry! David also sends his thanks for the support that Journey Church gives to their work. He says, "It is very encouraging in this critical time in allowing us to work on His field in Russia. Thank you for sharing in this work with us."
God also opened the door for Dr. Novak along with our Bishop Ba and Rev. Thomas Browne to visit Cardinal Theodore Adriane, SARR over the Catholic churches of Senegal. They were greatly encouraged as they discussed unity among the body of Christ in Dakar. We must all pray to keep the work of Christ protected and the political position in Senegal in peace. At this point there has been no uprising in Senegal. |
