There are plenty of styles of candles. The aromatherapy candles are blended by hand in small batches using only pure plant aromas & essential oils, natural soy & vegetable waxes, and all cotton, lead-free wicks.
Spring Training has started & the Rays are looking good this year! They have great seats for the Rays spring training games in Port Charlotte. Seats are a couple rows up from the field by the visitors dugout. They cannot make every game, so they are selling their tickets at face value for some games. Seats are $56 -- $25 each plus a $6 parking pass. Parking without the pass is $10.

Downtown Arts Association 2nd Saturday Gallery Walk

Once a month galleries extend their hours for your enjoyment. Start at Craftsman House then make your way towards the waterfront on the Central Avenue Shuttle to visit the other galleries. Pick up a list of participating galleries at Craftsman House, or go to www.stpetearts.org.
Walking Tour: Westward Ho from the Waterfront

This tour will begin at 10am. You can meet either at the Historic Detroit Hotel & ride the Central Avenue Shuttle, or at Craftsman House Gallery - our wonderfully restored original model home for the Historic Kenwood neighborhood. After a brief tour of Craftsman House, the tour continues to the old Nolan's grocery store that has been renovated into beautiful residential units. The tour will then proceed into Historic Kenwood where an owner will open up his bungalow for a look inside. The tour will then circle back to Craftsman House, where you can enjoy lunch or board the shuttle to return downtown.

Held in conjunction with www.eltonjohn.com, our annual tribute to Captain Fantastic has grown into a day long event. See the staff decked out in their best Sir Elton attire. Wear your own Elton shades & threads to receive a free Elton surprise! It's all Elton, all day with a special Elton menu. A portion of our proceeds for the day will be donated to the Elton John Aids Foundation.
Earth Day - 40th Anniversary

Our planet needs help & your actions matter. For the entire month of April you can stop by Craftsman House to register your "Act of Green". This can be anything that improves & preserves the Earth - recycling, riding mass transportation, planting a tree, etc. The Earth Day Network's goal is to log a "Billion Acts of Green".

Craftsman House joins restaurants in over 65 cities across the US & Canada to celebrate good food & good friends, while raising money for people living with AIDS. A portion of our cafe sales for both lunch & dinner will be donated to Dining Out for Life.
Janis Ian in Concert

One of the legendary singers-songwriters of our time. Janis wrote her first song at 12, and her first hit record (Society's Child) at 13. She has been nominated for Grammys in the 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s. Her 1975 smash hit "At Seventeen" was nominated for a record 5 Grammys - and won 2, including best female pop vocalist. She was the first performer to sing on Saturday Night Live (their very 1st show). Janis was a pioneer in headlining the first AIDS benefits in NYC & Nashville and the first pediatric AIDS benefit nationwide. An artist who has stayed true to her art.
It's Dining Out for Life day (see above), so come early & grab a bite to eat to help fight AIDS.
