Do you have a super-secret, best-in-the-world chili recipe? Or do you really just enjoy eating chili? If so, then check out the Grand Central District's 5th Annual Chili Cookoff, Saturday, November 28th from 11am - 4pm. The event takes place along Central Avenue between the 24th and 26th blocks. Live entertainment, street vendors and activities for the entire family are guaranteed to spice up your life.
All chili chefs may enter their extra special chili recipes for a chance at the Peoples' Chili Choice Award. For more details, contact the Grand Central District Association at 727-328-7086 or email gcda@grandcentraldistrict.org.
For the chili connoisseurs, tasting tickets are $10 the day of the Cookoff. |
The Grand Central District is a diverse urban village located on 1st Ave N through 1st Ave S from 16th St to 31st St in St. Petersburg, FL. The Grand Central District Association (GCDA) formed to support & promote businesses in the district and gained designation as both a national and state main street community. GCDA has implemented a Main Street Program, and is a Florida Main Street community. The Florida Main Street Program successfully combines historic preservation and economic development in local revitalization initiatives.
