The Looper is a super way to get from Grand Central District to downtown St. Petersburg. Hop aboard the light blue motorized trolleys, and enjoy a half hour ride to downtown. You can also take a tour of St. Petersburg's top attractions, museums and hotels. There are 13 stops along the way:
The Looper downtown trolley service has been in existence for 14 years and is the most convenient way to discover downtown. The Looper's 4.8 mile route links 13 stops consisting of shopping, restaurants, museums, art galleries, The Pier, BayWalk, and downtown hotels. The one continuous, convenient trolley loop operates 10:00am - 5:00pm weekdays and 10:00am - Midnights on weekends.
To provide ease of shopping for pedestrians and connect the ends of Central Avenue, The Looper began a second route on October 4, 2009. This new route service runs from The Pier to BayWalk to the west end of downtown's Grand Central District of retailers and the Grand Central Station.
The cost is .25¢, but look for free ride coupons in the Grand Central District Office, 2433 Central Avenue-good through the end of November.

St. Petersburg, FL 33713
(727) 323-2787
Winner Niche 2009 Top Retailer Award for "Best New Gallery in the U.S."
New artwork is coming in daily as Craftsman House stocks up for the holidays. They just received new hand-blown glass & metal sculptures from North Carolina artist Max Howard. Renowned for his ability to capture the intricate delicacy of nature and whimsy through metal, Max creates amazing sculptures of hot air balloons.
They are also receiving fish, pigs & cows that are handmade from recycled farm machinery parts. These pieces are finished for indoor or outdoor spaces. Ben and Kate Gatski possess an uncommon vision--to honor agriculture through art. They collect parts from farms and farm machinery dealers across Pennsylvania. Ben and Kate's lives have been ingrained in the agricultural world and creative pursuits. Ben started his own dairy business at the age of 19. He bought a herd of jersey cows and managed them organically. Kate worked for the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, organizing educational events for farmers. While Ben and Kate were professionally occupied by agriculture, they were informally experimenting with artistic expressions. Both came from families with arts and crafts businesses. Today their artwork is sold at exclusive galleries throughout the U.S.

America UNCHAINED
Saturday, November 21st
Brought to you by:
www.amiba.net
On Saturday, November 21st, St. Petersburg, Tampa and communities nationwide are urged to "unchain" for that one day to maximize the impact of their dollars. You can potentially inject millions into your local economy.
For this one day simply avoid national chains where the money is funneled out of the community and into national headquarters. Instead shop, dine and patronize only locally-owned independent businesses. On an average November day last year, $28 million dollars entered the Pinellas County economy. Much of that left the community for national headquarters. If all those transactions had been with locally owned independents, and none with national chains, it would have kept another 9 million dollars in the local economy.
Use your money wisely to stimulate your local economy. Support businesses that add character & make your community unique. Of course, we hope you will think about this not only on November 21st, but every day - particularly with holiday shopping.
SPIN is a group of locally owned St. Petersburg businesses that collaborate to educate the public on the benefits of supporting our locally owned, independent businesses. We are actively seeking interested business members. Call (727) 323-2787 for info.
