Institution of Credit & Debit Card minimum:
We know many of you recognize the cost of credit cards to small businesses like the Blue Rooster.
Recent changes in the law allow us to set a minimum $ amount for use of "plastic" that will help us reduce a significant monthly cost & allow you to use your card for most purchases.
$10.00 will be the minimum (pre-tax) starting on September 8th

Our second summer has sped by ~ many of our student employees head back to school this week or next! The tomatoes, squash, melons and more are in full fruit at the Brown Dog's field. (Yes, we are picking our own fruit & vegetable this summer & love the added freshness) Catering, parties, music with Friday night dinner and more have made for a full & fabulous summer @The Blue Rooster.

| Live Jazz on Friday: has had a strong following & we will continue to bring great music into the Blue Rooster (6 pm - 9 pm) ~ please make your dinner reservations early.

Songbook on Saturday nights:
~ Paige Stewart sings the Great American Songbook
Paige has a fabulous voice and we are thrilled that she will join us on Saturdays from 6 pm - 9 pm throughout the autumn.
Paige has great resume, two items of interest ~ she sang at the Rainbow Room, NYC and she has performed with a range of top big band household names. Join us & get to know her for yourself.

 The Brown Dog CSA ~ Samantha Janney's vision in action
We are so fortunate that Samantha knocked on our door back in the winter & has worked with us provide great fruit & vege to the BR throughout the summer & inter the autumn! The zebra tomatoes, the swiss chard & the eggplant are just a few favorites. We expect to work with her all year long and each year bring more tasty & interesting vegetables to our table for you.

| "Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes." - Billy Joel | From bussers to baristas & waitstaff, The Blue Rooster had a great group of students who had an exceptional love for good coffee and delicious pastries & were looking to earn a little pocket money during the summer. As summer comes to an end & the school year quickly approaches, we must say farewell to our wonderful summer staff. Their great effort and hard work are appreciated by customers & staff alike. We wish them luck with all of their future endeavors.
When we reopen in September you will see many familiar faces & a few new faces. Most of our workers will be full-time staff to support the needs of you, our customers, in meeting your expectation of consistent excellence in your BR experience.
We intend to provide a strong, stable environment for both our employees & our customers. Our staff, full-time & part-time, works together to form a great group of workers who constantly strive to meet your needs.
