One of the most important tools in Authentic Communication and living as your Authentic Self in general is really getting that what someone else is sharing, even when it is directed at you (in an angry, judgmental, worried tone, etc.), is never about you.
When you are not wounded by others' words and get that their stories are theirs and not about you, then you can remain in a loving, open, understanding place and can often guide them into their own awareness.

This week, practice looking at negative emotions directed at you or around you from the view of the Authentic Self. Honor the other person's emotions without taking them on or trying to change it or fix it. Your work here is not with them. Your work is addressing any of your own emotions that show up as a result of what they said or did and finding your own awareness that is wanting to be birthed through that experience.

Dear Coach Michelle - Which expert do I choose?
Dear Coach Michelle,
I have been wanting to loose weight for a while. I have been researching all different experts in the field and can't figure out who to listen to. With most, there are certain things they encourage me to eat or do that don't quite feel right. How do I look at this from the broader perspective and let my authentic self help me find an expert that will really help me.

Experts in any field can be immensely helpful in guiding you on any part of your path, but all should be listened to with a grain of salt, including healers, psychics, and me.. Each one is sharing from their knowledge base and their currently life's filters. The only expert that can guide you in all things and is valuable to listen to completely is your Authentic Self.
