Deep Gratitude for Healthy, Happy, Giggling Kids
Tonight I sit in a deep state of gratitude. It is my aunt's birthday today and my sister has posted pictures. She is a happy, healthy 65 (I believe) today. My other aunt is visiting from Florida and my cousin and his family are visiting from Chicago. We are now at 7 little ones in the family with one more on the way any day now. Even one set of great grandparents are present. My heart feels so full I am sure it will burst as I flip through picture after picture of my happy, healthy nieces and nephews climbing all over the fathers of the brood. Giggling, laughing... pure silliness is clearly the primary state of being. Next, I see a picture of my niece walking with my nephew hand in hand. It couldn't be more precious.
Though I am almost 3,000 miles away and though so much of me wants to pout because I am not there sharing that beautiful day with them, the majority of me just is steeped in gratitude.
