When you are not wounded by their words and get that their stories are theirs, and not about you, then you can remain in a loving, open, understanding place no matter what another says. "

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This week we are continuing the practice of looking at others through the eyes of your Authentic Self. This is a much more difficult process when someone is directing their pain, emotions and story at you and making a judgment of you because it is more likely to trigger your Ego, however, remembering that the story is theirs and has nothing to do with you, when even directed at you, can really help. This week, when someone shares a negative judgment of you or another see their intent to feel better in some way through this exchange and practice not taking it personally. Notice your Ego's desire to defend itself. Take a breath and ask yourself if defending your own Ego's story is really necessary. For many, this awareness may not come until after the situation. Still celebrate the awareness when ever it comes! Most importantly, be kind to yourself regardless of how you respond. This is a practice in awareness and any practice takes time and lots of love and understanding.
