  • Take the Community Values Survey

The State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) (the SHPO is housed within the PA Historical and Museum Commission) will explain the benefits of historic preservation planning during the upcoming Preserving Pennsylvania: A Workshop for Communities.  SHPO staff will share many local examples of how sound planning can position your community to retain its character while guiding growth and providing opportunities for new investment.  The SHPO's presentation however depends on your feedback!

It is the responsibility of the SHPO to prepare and implement a comprehensive statewide historic preservation plan.  We are inviting you to participate in the planning process to ensure that the development and implementation of the plan includes broad public participation.  Please take a few moments to participate in the Community Values Survey.  We will reveal an analysis of the responses we receive from your region during Preserving Pennsylvania: A Workshop for Communities.
