From the Principal
Let me brag a little on the wonderful families we have here at Walker Creek. The months of November and December were incredible with all the requests we made of our parents to help with different endeavors. We asked you to support our Fun Run fund raiser, bring canned goods, buy books from the Book Fair, participate in Family Movie Night, provide for Thanksgiving feasts, donate blue jeans, buy greenery for fifth grade camp, pay for field trips and on and on and on! Not only did our groups of parents and students exceed every goal presented to them, they set records among the participating schools regarding donations of canned good and blue jeans. We even were given a plaque for giving so many blue jeans to the District's Clothes Connection. Then to top it all off, your generosity to our teachers and staff during the Christmas season far exceeded what anyone could ever expect. We thank you for your commitment to our school and participation in all the "extras" that make WCE what it is. I wish you all a very Happy 2009! |

Grandparent Day, Thursday, January 29
Once again we are having Grandparent Day at Walker Creek . This is a day for students to invite their grandparents or grand friends to come have lunch with them. Lifetouch School Photographers will already be here to take classroom group picutres that day, so grandparents will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with their grandchild. There is no obligation to buy; proofs will go home with order forms a few weeks later. |
