Next week will be a busy week with many exciting activities.  Students' Holiday Break begins at 1:00 on Friday, December 19th.  We wish all our families a safe and happy holiday.  School will resume on Monday, January 5, 2009.
 
 
 
 
PTA Meeting and Fifth Grade Performance
 TUESDAY, DECEMBER 16
Our December PTA meeting is Tuesday evening at 7:00. The fifth grade will present the program entitled "'Twas One Crazy Night Before Christmas."  Chick-fil-A will be available for $5 and profits go toward Camp for fifth grade.  Hope everyone will come for a very enjoyable evening.  
 


 
Holiday Shop
Thanks to all the PTA Moms who spent many hours finding great gifts for our students to be able to purchase for their family and friends.  This is a service our PTA does for our families.  What a gift they give our students by providing this opportunity each year.
 
 
 
Kindergarten to see Rudolph at Casa Manana
Wednesday, the 17th,  our Kindergarten classes will go to Casa Manana to enjoy a live performance of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. 
 

5th grade's encore performance of "Twas One Crazy Night before Christmas" will be at 1:45 that afternoon in the school cafeteria.
 
BHS Sings for Walker Creek
The choir from Birdville High School will come sing for our students on Thursday, December 18 at 9:00 in the Walker Creek Cafeteria. 
 
Spelling Bee
 The tension and excitement were in the air at the recent Spelling Bee for Walker Creek.  Baylee  Vinson is the winner who will represent our school at the District Spelling Bee in February.  Allison Beam is our alternate.  Congratulations to both of these outstanding students.
 
Mark Your Calendar
Grandparent Day is Thursday,
 January 29th 
Once again we are having Grandparent Day at Walker Creek.  This is a day for students to invite their grandparents or grand friends to come have lunch with them.  Lifetouch School Photographers will already be here to take classroom group pictures that day,  so grandparents will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with their grandchild.  There is no obligation to buy; proofs will go home with order forms a few weeks later.
    
Classroom parties will be on Friday, December 19th.  We appreciate all the time and hard work our room representatives have given to make this day special for our students.
