Join Maestro William Boughton, Music Director of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, as he presents a talk on his life as a conductor and founder of a symphony.

 

The talk will take place on Wednesday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m. on the main floor of the Scranton Library.

 

 

At its regular monthly May meeting, The Scranton Library Board of Trustees voted to set as a target date Tuesday, November 4th, the national Election Day, as the date for a town-wide referendum on the Library Expansion Project.  

 

 

The library has just purchased new travel DVDs from Globe Trekker, including films about:

 

Iran, Cambodia, Indian Ocean Islands, China, Cameroon, Hong Kong & Taiwan, Tahiti & Samoa, Indonesia, Russia, Vietnam, Beijing City, Chile & Easter Island, Istanbul, Middle East, Central America, and Brazil.

 

 

 

It's not too late to get your garden gorgeous! Read some gardening books for inspiration, at least!

 

And don't forget to pick up some fresh produce at the Madison Farmers' Market!   

With the price of fuel the way it is, why not pop a DVD of a story from another land into your player?
