Friends of the Scranton Library Need You

Happy Spring!
As the chill of March fades, the Friends of Scranton look forward to warmer weather fundraising activities which provide the financing for all the wonderful programs for all ages at the Scranton Library in Madison.
 
Your help is needed to make these events successful from the book sorting to the Book Sale, and the Parade of Pooches.
 
Volunteers Needed Now
Volunteers are needed now to sort books for The Friends of the Scranton Library Annual Book Sale to be held at Academy Street School Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, August 3. Call Julie  245-1148.
 
Book Sorting 101
Carol Robinson will conduct a book sorting workshop on Wednesday April 23 10-11 AM at The Scranton Library.
 
First time sorters as well as those who want a refresher are welcome. No prior experience necessary.

Books Wanted

Gently used books, CDs, DVDs and videos may be placed in the book bin 24/7 on the east side of Academy School, 24 Academy Street, for the Friends of the Scranton Library Book Sale. A volunteer will be present at the drop-off site Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9-11:30 except during school closings to offer assistance if needed.

 

The Friends of the Scranton Library will hold their annual Book Sale at Academy Street School on July 31st, Aug. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

 

No encyclopedias, magazines or textbooks accepted.
