Aftercare is coming to Deal!
from Kevin Morison, Deal parent

Following up on meetings last week, I am pleased to announce that we have a plan for moving forward with a high-quality, fee-based aftercare program at Deal for the upcoming school year. The details of the agreement with the professional provider are still being finalized, and will be announced shortly. In the meantime, we are trying to get a show of interest among Deal families, for program planning purposes.

Attached is a flyer that will be included in the information packets that Deal is sending out to all families this week. However, you can certainly get a jump-start on expressing interest in the program now. Simply follow the instructions in the flyer and send your information back to this email address ([email protected]

We are looking forward to having a robust and fun aftercare program for Deal children and families this school year.

Additional Aftercare information

Get those registrations in now!
With just a few weeks to go until Deal's doors open for the 2012-2013 school year, we still have a significant number of students who have been enrolled but have yet to be formally registered. This is a serious problem. If your child has been enrolled, we have placed him or her into a complete set of classes. But if you haven't come in to complete the registration and verification information as required, we can't count your child as a student. This means that if we exceed our estimated enrollment, we won't get credit for your child's registration. Although DCPS allows families to start school without registration, Deal is hurt by any and all delays. Our doors are open - we need you here.
