YTA March News Update 

Greetings!

First, I would like congratulate you for your hard work and dedication to the students of YISD. Our district has once again made the list to be eligible for the 2011 Broad Prize. The difference this year, is that they named the top 75 instead of the top 100, which makes the list even more exclusive.
The top five finalist will be named next month in April, which guarantees $250,000 in scholarships for next years seniors and the top district will receive $1 million in scholarship money.

On Saturday, April 2nd, we are calling ALL educators, parents, family and friends to support public education in Texas to Rally in El Paso and ask our State government to adequately fund pubic education in Texas.

We need remind everyone of the importance of public schools and the potentially devastating effects of deep budget cuts on our children's future and our state's prosperity.

Great Public Schools are the foundation to leading families out of poverty and into prosperity.

The future of El Paso depends on our area schools ability to educate our future by providing adequate funding.

Texas lawmakers need to hear your voice loud and clear!
