RFID APPLICATIONS

Below are some applications that Secura Key products are used for.  These are all projects which have been developed by our RFID Integrator Partners.

Smart Readers for High Security Display Cases

Control employee ability to raise and lower (lock and unlock) a secure jewelry store display case.  Reduces time and labor by avoiding emptying/reloading jewelry cases every day. Uses Secura Key ET8SR readers and e*Tag® HF key tags.

Patron Cards and Readers for Library Systems

Self check-out of library books.  USB micro reader and flat, pad antenna. Library Patron cards.  Uses the e*Tag® card with i-Code SLI chip, and Secura Key ET9  USB Micro reader with external antenna.

ID Cards and Readers for School Transportation

Monitor bus drivers and students as they board a school bus.  Also, enroll the driver or student in the main office.  Buses have wireless communications with a central system.  Using ET4 readers, HF cards, and ET4 USB desk top wedge reader for enrollment.

Long Range UHF ID tags for Interactive Games

Activate voices, lights and movements through an exhibit at Las Vegas Casinos.  Uses an oversized UHF card with custom graphics.

ID Devices for Stadium Seating Remote Controls   (chip/coil embedded in remote control unit) Move stadium seats in and out.  Reader located on control electronics.  Uses  Secura Key RK65K LF standalone reader and Radio Key® keytag.

Fitness Club Access

Give club members access into a fitness club (front desk at most clubs and front door at 24/7 clubs).  Uses Secura Key ET8 reader and e*Tag® HF key tags 

 C-Store Loyalty

Add loyalty points to a tag each time customers make a purchase at a gasoline station or convenience store.  Uses e*Tag® keytag with Mifare Ultralight chip, custom-printed with merchandise logos.

Logistics

Read a tagged plastic tote at various points traveling down a conveyor line and send it off the conveyor at any point for rework or kitting.  Using ET4 reader and HF cards.

Secure Lab Refrigerators 

Control Lab employee access to lab refrigerators.  Uses Secura Key ET8SR embedded reader and e*Tag® HF cards (ISO 15693 and ISO 14443).

RFID Label Encoding/Test-RFID Label Printer. Encodes RFID inlays in tag to match external bar coding, for inventory control, shipping, etc.  Using ET4 board and 1" x 4" antenna.

 Hotel Door Locks

Battery powered self-contained locking units replace existing door hardware. Using e*Tag® HF cards and key tags.

Transit Applications

Mass transit and fare collection.  Uses e*Tag® cards with Mifare® 1K chip.

Fitness Program Monitoring -

Adjust fitness machines (resistance and reps) and monitor progress at Fitness Clubs.  Using ET4 reader and HF 10K bit key tag. 

 Control Access to Electric Car Charging Stations. 

Using ET4 embedded reader board, USB Desktop Enrollment reader and HF cards (ISO 15693 and ISO 14443) with DESFire® EV1 chip.
