Secura Key now provides the industry with three new HID-Compatible products:
RKDT-SA-M/S Standalone Access Control Units - similar to RK65K/S standalones, but also works with HID 26-bit Proximity Cards. If you are familiar with the RK65K/S, you already know how this product works. It controls access for a single door, stores up to 65536 card numbers, features timed anti-passback, has a REX input, has a Wiegand data output for future system upgrade, and it programs with an RK-HHP passive hand- held programmer. RKDT-SA-WM/WS Wiegand Output Readers - similar to the RK-WM/S Wiegand output readers. These models will read Secura key 26 and 32-bit cards, as well as any HID non-proprietary "pass-through" format up to 37 bits. These units can be used in place of any HID proximity reader. They do not read iCLASS cards or HID Active Long Range Cards. More info...
RKCMH-02, RKCIH-02, and RKKTH-02 HID-formatted proximity cards - similar to our standard Radio Key® cards, these cards are encoded in HID formats. Our cards use the same Atmel/TEMIC chip technology as HID prox cards, so its simply a matter of programming! We have four formats available: HID 26-bit, HID 34-bit (Northern Computers format), and HID 37-bit with or without facility code. More info...
We often get the question: which HID readers are the Secura Key readers compatible with? The answer is that they are compatible with any HID reader, because they read HID cards, and they have the same wire colors and functions. The RKDT-WM is closest in size to the HID ProxPoint®, and the RKDT-WS is similar to the HID Thinline II®, but if the bid specification requires HID ProxPro® or ProxPro II®, our readers will be functionally compatible.
Please note that very few HID cards have proprietary formats, and that about 75% of all HID prox cards ever made have standard 26-bit programming.
