Radio Key® Cards Now Available in HID 26-bit Format
Secura Key now offers Radio Key® Proximity credentials in HID 26-bit format. Because Secura Key has always used Atmel technology in its Radio Key® proximity cards and keytags, making them HID-compatible is simply a matter of encoding them in the proper format. We offer HID compatibility in the RKCM-02 rugged Clamshell card, the RKCI-02 ISO card, and the RKKT-02 keytag. You can now get HID 26-bit compatibility together with Secura Key's superior read range.
To order, just specify format 701 HID 26-bit, give us the actual facility code and sequential numbering, and we'll do the rest. As always, laser engraved numbering is free at Secura Key. (HID is a registered trademark of HID Global Corp.)

Legendary Touchcard Standalone Readers Still Available | |
After 20+ years, Secura Key's 26SA and 28SA-Plus Stand-alone Touch Card access control units still remain among our top-selling products. These heavy-duty standalone units are rugged and reliable, and are built to withstand the elements, as well as heavy usage at parking lots and gate entrances.
Originally, these units were also offered with metal and flush-mount housings, but the alternate housings were discontinued, and they are now offered only in the popular surface mount housing pictured above on the left.
When we discontinued the alternate housings, some customers and distributors thought that we had discontinued the entire product line, so we are sending this message to assure all of our customers that the 26SA and 28SA-Plus are still available, and that we have no plans to discontinue either model in the forseeable future. |

RK-PD1 Obsoleted | |
Until recently, the RK600e and RK65K Standalone Readers could both be programmed with either the RK-HHP passive hand-held programmer, or the RK-PD1 programming deck, which is a set of command cards used to send programming commands to the reader. The RK-PD1 was designed to be fanned out so that individual cards can be presented to the reader.
Unfortunately, the read-range on the RK600e and RK65K is a little too good, which means that when you present individual programming cards in the RK-PD1 to the reader, sometimes other cards in the deck will read unintentionally, making programming difficult. Because of this problem, we felt it would be better to obsolete this product entirely and direct customers to the RK-HHP.
The RK-HHP is a superior tool for programming these prox standalone units It uses a keypad, which connects individual card chips to its internal antenna, resulting in a clean sequence of commands, and a positive user experience. |
