We have developed new firmware for our e*Tag 4 reader series with read/write capability for Mifare Classic, and DESFire cards. This is ideal for many corporate, transportation, government, and institutional customers who are upgrading from Mifare to DESFire, to take advantage of the additional security.
The product was initially developed with a Wiegand interface, but the e*Tag 4 platform also provides RS485, RS232, TTL and USB interfaces, and the data can be output in ASCII format. Unlike other Mifare/DESFire readers, e*Tag readers only require 50-90 mA @ 5VDC.
The e*Tag 4 can be configured for automatic output, or it can be controlled by a host driven application. Secura Key will customize the firmware to your requirements, and we can assist you with integration into your product.
E*Tag 4 is available in weatherproof Wallswitch or Mullion-mount housings, and is also available as a board-only for embedded applications, and the USB reader is available in a desktop configuration.
Secura Key can also provide Mifare Classic and DESFire cards and keytags with custom printing or a glossy white finish for dye sublimation printing. |
