Secura Key announces a new USB Desktop Reader for 13.56 MHz ISO 15693 Contactless Smart Cards and keytags. This Desktop Reader/Writer features a standard USB cable, and works with any Windows PC.  The ET4-AUS-D reads and writes to Secura Key's e*Tag® cards and keytags, as well as any 15693 open standard contactless smart card, including TI HF-1, Philips iCode, ST-Micro LRI, Infineon My-D and My-D Lite.

The USB Desktop reader can read or write information to any location on the tag, and can also read the UID (Unique Identification Number) from the card chip.  Secura Key provides complete documentation for the applications developer, as well as a free download of e*Tag® Host, a demonstration tool for Secura Key's e*Tag® Readers.

The reader can be used for applications such as cafeteria purchases, library cards, health club memberships, cashless vending, public transportation, airline ticketing, customer loyalty programs, fuel dispensing, network log-on security, automotive vehicle identification and time and attendance.
