Hey there!
Could be the change in seasons or the fact that I recently returned from an annual art sojourn, but man, am I in a creating mood.
That little art shindig in Ann Arbor I talked about in the last newsletter was the shizzle. It's always jolly good fun to hang out with kindred spirits and we had a three days of ultimate art fun in a very lovely setting. There were 10 of us and we stayed at a B&B/Farmhouse in a quiet part of Ann Arbor just a mile and a squeak from Main Street and a hippity hoppity squeak from Hollander's, the paper-lover's dream store. We had the whole Farmhouse to ourselves and used every square inch of it for talkin', eatin', laughin' and creatin'.

I came away filled with wonderful memories, lovely handmade gifts from my dear friends and another bundle of art papers, rusty whatnots, and other various and sundry art starters big enough to choke a horse. I feel RICH and cozy and I'm itchin' to roll up my sleeves and crank out some art. And I really mean it: I'm going to use all this great stuff to create with - I am NOT going to "collect" it. Really. It's almost all out of the bags.
So, with that... let's hunker down and get inspired and hopefully today's Bits 'n Bobs will get you all RICH and cozy with art ideas and we'll be creating and laughing and having a great time.
Happy Sunday to you!

Getting Inspired Part One...

Hallowe'en is upon us (well, in about a month) and the artwork is starting to pepper our PaperWhimsy Art Forum. These wonderful pieces by Christine Shebroe just tickled me to no end and she graciously allowed me to share them with you.
If you enjoy the whimsical side of Hallowe'en then certainly these charming ACEOs will put you in a creating mood.
Christine has used images from sheets 120, 086 and Sampler 01 to create her gallery of ghoulsih whimsies. To see more of Christine's wonderful work, click on the image above and you'll be whisked away on broomstick to her Etsy store. Or you can visit Christine's blog by clicking HERE.
BOO, y'all!!!

Right now we're working on a super little project for all the gourmands in our art group, hosted by Jannie DeBellis. No, I don't normally cook, but, yes... I do get the urge to cook when the seasons change. I don't know what it is - maybe it's the idea of using the bountiful summer harvest. And when I see something as utterly delightful as this - I sure want to pull out a pot and pan and get me to my kitchen.
Even if you're not a member of the PaperWhimsy Art Forum (and oh, if you're not we wish you were) you can play along by creating your own Autumn Apron/Recipe Card (or any other season you love to cook for) and gift a friend with your lovely artwork and your favorite recipe. To download the pattern in pdf, just click on the image above.
Bon Apetit!

More Limited Edition PaperWhimy images available for download! Back to the vault I went and pulled out a few more pretty faces for a redux. These oldies but goodies are available for download until October 31, 2009, and then back to the vault they'll go.
This is my second series of wonderful whimsies (hopefully, you were able to snag the first series) and who knows how many more I'll decide to convert to digital format for a limited time only. Maybe I'm done. Maybe I'm not...
You can find these pretty little face by going to Limited Editions in the Digisheet section of the shoppe or by clicking either of the images, above. You can also get them in print form until October 31 - there are links in each sheet description.

A new whimsical face, Amanda Lillifeathers, in the PaperWhimsy line of faces. It's always so magical for me when a new face is added to my line. I wait with excited anticipation for her stories to unfold.
You'll find Amanda with the other winsome maidens in Winsome Maidens in the Collage Sheet section of the shoppe or by clicking the image, above.

The clock is ticking on 2009, which means that it's time to prepare yourself for a year long event for 2010.
2010 Whimsy Club memberships are now available in the shoppe. The Whimsy Club is very limited in number and memberships will be available until Dec 31, 2009 or when they sell out. If you don't wait until the last minute to sign up (and potentially lose the chance because the club is full for 2010) you can get an extra free collage sheet (13 instead of 12) and start cashing in on your savings right away if you purchase your membership before October 31.
So... what's this Whimsy Club? Well, if you love PaperWhimsy images and frequently use them in your art this is a golden opportunity for you. For a $50 membership fee you receive special club pricing, 25% off regular retail, on all your paper printed and digital collage sheets. Yep, downloads and samplers, too. This is a year long sales event just for Whimsy Club members! If you normally purchase just three sheets per month your $50.00 membership fee saves you at least $105 (more on that in a minute)! You double your investment with just three sheets per month. Because not only do you get that primo discount you also receive one free collage sheet of your choice with purchase, every month. And three collage sheets per month is well below the average collage sheet purchase. PaperWhimsy customers generally purchase an average of 5-10 collage sheets per month (Thank you!) which provides for even greater savings. And you're just doing what you normally do. And new for 2010 members, you will also receive 5% off everything else in the shoppe... every day of the year. So your savings potential is even greater. The perks are sublime and becoming a member provides you with loads of inspiration every day of 2010 (or longer if you join during the early bird special). To find more information on the Whimsy Club, just click on Whimsy Club or the image above and then become a member of the Whimsiest club around! Current Whimsy Club members: if you sign up during the early bird period you will receive an additional free collage sheet with purchase for December 2009.
