Fun Again?
New New New
It has been a very hectic 10-days here at the Whimsy ranch.  Weekend before last, 11 members of the PaperWhimsy Art Forum ambled on over to Fishers Indiana and we spent two and a half glorious days immersing ourselves in paper, glitter, glue, paint and camaraderie.  Also a few Mojitos were circulating through the group along with a couple dozen bags of kettle chips.  What a weekend!

On the heels of that came Mummy and Daddy Drawbridge from England for a lovely week of fun and frolic.  I carved out a few hours each day to spend time with them and Draw in between the printing and packing and creating.  It was a grand time and I can't believe our time is done with them and they're already back on English soil.

And now... it's time to get ready for the Holidays?  Yikes!

So for just a few moments, I thought I'd drop in and say hello to you and goodbye to September.

If you have a few minutes and you're looking for an excuse to snuggle down with a cup of java or a pot of tea... why don't you join me.  :o)

Viva la Autumn!

I better get back to the computer and create some new faces.  We're almost to the end of the line.  Another batch of very whimsical names this month: thank you so much for participating!  I am continuing to update the website to reflect the new names and just can't resist writing all the little whimsical bios to go along with them.

Sneak Peak Inspirations 2Art

My calendar says it's Fall already, but our temperatures in the South are still pretty warm.  Fall means we start thinking about the holidays coming.  Over the next few months I'll be creating some Holiday decorations and gift ideas.  Before I get started on those, I still had several of the new Gothique Faeries on my art table.  I wanted some way to display the Faeries so I could see them all at one time.  Here's a peek at the finished display.

When you have finished the newsletter, be sure to check my blog and see how the rest of Faeires look, all together.  You can see a bigger peek below.

Warmest,
Rande

Petites Fées Gothiques

Faerie Banner

Oooo... la... la... oh, yeah!  Still on the Petites Gothique Faerie kick and I hope you are, too.  There are a couple more little samplers added to the collection and some "Flatties" (faeries already assembled in smaller sizes to stick here and there... wherever a bit of magic is needed).  More Flatties on the way to augment the eight "main" faeries now dancing around the shoppe.  I'm not tired of them, yet, so expect more and expect something different ('nuff said).

In the meantime, take a gander at Rande Hanson's Faerie Garland dressed up with trims. crepe paper and tassels.  I could also see these little faeries held up with itty bitty clothespins or Trinket Pins, dancing along a stip of ribbons or curly wire, even some glorious fibers.

Winifreda Bird Anything New?

By golly, there are some new things and some of them are collage sheets.  I've just had an itch to create a few new collage sheets and there are a couple more ideas still floating around upstairs in this little noggin of mine and should be springing loose, shortly.  For now, though, take a look at this face.  Does she not inspire you?  Her name is Winifreda Bird and she's hoping you'll take her home and create a story for her.

There are also some new collage sheets (Sheets 162 and 163) with images that are perfectly sized for your 1" x 3" art.  I used them all weekend long at the PW PJammers September Art Jam.  Also, look for a familiar face: dear Pansy Rose Button.  She's in a new sheet sporting a new background, plump rosy cheeks and faerie wings (Sheet 165).  I think you'll find her very irresistible.

There are also some new Prima Essential Flowers just perfect for this lovely Autumn weather we're heading into (Mother Nature's been hinting at it here in Indiana with gorgeous blue skies and low humidity).  So, you're in the mood to use some vibrant hues in your art because of the time of year, and Prima's at the ready.  Check these out in the Pretty Petals section of the shoppe.

Some little trinkets to add to your art whether it be paper or textile.  I love these little charms - they're quite adorable.  You can find these and more in the Baubles & Beads section of the shoppe.

Charming Hearts

Rusty Tin Tiles are back in - hooray!  Perfect backdrop for your collage pieces - add a brilliant flower or two and you're in business!  Find those Rusty Tin Tiles in Rusty Stuff in the shoppe, and look for the Rusty Icicles that are back for an encore performance, as well.

You can take a gander at all this new stuff by Clicking the NEW STUFF button below which will magically transport you to the PaperWhimsy Shoppe.  I don't know how it works but, believe me, it does!

TTFN ...

So now, 'tis back to work in my secret little cottage shoppe, tucked away in a tiny corner of whimsical Fishers Indiana, as I look out at the turning leaves and dream of Autumn breezes and sparkling blue skies.

Life is grand... and so are you.

Warm hugs and blessings,
Gale
