Back to School!
Dear Families,

I hope your summertime was wonderful, full of fun, and relaxing (at least some of the time)!  My teachers and I  are so excited for the new school year!  We can't wait to see your faces again!

To all of you whom we had the pleasure of seeing this summer--Congratulations!  We realize what a committment it is to exchange sunny hours with indoor practice, but I'm sure that you will see how much it will pay off in the long-run.  Some of you had a great period of progress and growth; others simply continued on at the same level.  Guess what?  BOTH are ok!  We go through peaks and valleys in our growth spurts, and if you didn't spurt this summer, it will happen soon enough...no worries.

We had a great deal of fun this summer with our Mini-MusicMakers classes!  I hope we get to see all of our cutie pies again for the Fall Lion Session!  We've grown the program quite a bit...we now have classes in Rocky Hill and Simsbury, as well as Manchester, South Windsor, and West Hartford.

Please read on for valuable information you will need for the year, and to find out about all of the exciting things we have planned this year.

As we start our new school year, it is important to realize that the reality for music lessons is that there will be good times and there will be difficult times, but perseverence is key to success!  The important thing is that our students stick to their lessons so that they can achieve a life-long love and respect for music, and have music as an outlet (or maybe even a lucrative and happy career) through their adulthood.

As always, I'm here to help!  I stay quite involved with the lessons of my teachers, and review thier reports weekly.  If you should ever need my help, advice,  or have a suggestion for our improvement I hope you will come to me.

Enjoy the Labor Day weekend, and see you this week!

New for Private Lessons Students--Mu$ic Money!
Want to minimize your stress while maximizing your child's motivation to practice? Introducing the new MusicMakers
Mu$ic Money

We will offer various tasks to complete, activities to participate in, and fun games to play and your child will earn "money" to "buy" things they like, such as music toys, instruments, games, new books.  We have designed things that will promote your child's interest in music, encourage music "socials" and family time, and offer the  opportunity to help others.

-Each month we will present an activity or task for your child to complete.

-Your teacher will offer opportunities, too
-Periodically we will offer special things to do!

First Mu
$ic Money Opportunity:

During the month of September, bring a friend to your lesson and receive $100 in Mu$ic Money!  Plus, since you are completing our first task, we'll give you an extra $100!  AND, we have a cool goody bag for both of you!

Start the Year Off Right:  Practice Tips
