Greetings!
Last weekend saw one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history when the European Ryder Cup Team fought back from an unprecedented 10 - 4 behind their US counterparts to win 14.5 - 13.5 come the end of the match. So what made all this possible? At first you might be inclined to say the individual talent of 12 separate golfers, the passion they all had for the competition itself, great leadership from Jose Maria Olazabal, fantastic support from all the caddies and vice captains assisting the team and a common purpose to retain the trophy, let alone a healthy slice of luck too. However if you thought solely in this way, you would be missing one essential ingredient, divine intervention and the spiritual dimension, for as the Arabians of the desert might say for all the events that occurred at the weekend 'it was written'. In this instance team members were heard to remark on 'invoking the spirit of Seve' to help them win the trophy, both in the locker room the night before when 10 - 6 down and out on the golf course on the final day. They felt it in the air and all around them. Seve Ballesteros had been a talisman for the European Ryder Cup Team for many years as both a player and a captain right up to his death last year. His long time playing partner and friend captained the side this time around and bags as well as kit were emblazoned with Seve's image. On the final day, the team went out dressed in a colour scheme to match that of the Spanish legend, navy blue and white. Through all the events that unfolded on Sunday afternoon and evening this spirit ran right through the team. A spirit they knew only as Seve, but a spirit I know as the great mystery itself calling us all onward to our own future happiness. It is no different for us, in all what we do spirit resides. If we wish to create a successful business and lead a fulfilled life we cannot do so without factoring in spirit. If we concentrate on our triple bottom line of people, planet and profit forgetting that spirit knits all of these 3 things together they will not properly bind and one or other will fail and if we just concentrate on one, profit alone, we will become spiritually bereft. With my coaching too, to say that I am a life, business and leadership coach is only really a half truth, whereas spiritual coach or guide has a more authentic ring about it, it resonates with me more deeply and truly explains what I do with people when I add in the spiritual dimension, concentrating on long term happiness rather than short term goals, helping people find their life's purpose, fulfill their potential and create common purposes in businesses and communities for the greater good. Keeping with the golfing context some could call me a Spiritual Caddie perhaps, helping you to play your own game of life, not too unlike what Bagger Vance was able to do for Rannulph Junuh in the film of a similar name, where on meeting each other through a simple conversation a great partnership was formed, synchronistically forged through spirit. If on viewing today's video you can see your self benefiting from a similar partnership with myself why not get in contact, my initial fee doesn't have to be that much more than what Bagger asked of Junuh. For more on what I could offer you or your business long term why not read on below. Until next time. Much love. Simon x Set Your Spirit Free |
