The Quadruple Bottom Line
Week 14 2012
spirituality
Greetings!

You've heard of the triple bottom line haven't you? Getting the balance right between your people, the planet and your profits. Are you using this concept within your business? Are you thinking about it in your life? Well if you are not, then soon you maybe even further behind everyone else, as in America they are already thinking about the quadruple bottom line. A bottom line that I think I have been born for, that perhaps explains all my work to date, why I am like I am and above all why I feel ready to totally embrace it and to help guide others towards achieving it within their own companies too.

What is it I hear you say? It is in fact spirituality.

When you think about spirituality hard enough it actually runs through the other three bottom lines anyway. When a company moves away from solely thinking about profits and the exploitation of people and the planet to achieve this, it starts to care more about the well being of its staff and the effect it is having on the Earth itself. Whether it is truly aware of it or not that company is becoming more spiritual in nature, it is shifting how it relates to the world as a whole.

I believe that this is the reason I created Set Your Spirit Free and the knowledge I have been accruing over the past 6 years, in order so I can help companies and individuals rediscover the balance between these quadruple aspects of their lives and businesses and there is no time like the present to start changing, as the Earth is seemingly giving us a very clear message that now is just as good a time as any to shift our awareness and engage in a new state of consciousness. A message today's video hopes to reiterate. For more on the quadruple bottom line please read on, otherwise have a great Easter, one of our more spiritual weekends in the calendar.

Have a fabulous fortnight.

The Quadruple Bottom Line
What is it and how can we use it?
spiritual girl
How do we feel about embracing spirituality as the fourth bottom line, making up the quadruple bottom line within our business? Is it a concept we have ever even thought about?

Well in essence it equates to knowing what our true purpose is within the work that we do. Once we know who we are, what we stand for, what we want to achieve and what we want to see changed in the world through our products and services we instantly become more spiritual in nature. Especially when we recognize that whatever this is, is most likely embedded right at the core of our very being and whichever way we move we can not get away from this or outrun it, it will always catch up with us as it becomes a constant companion within our lives. It hurts us badly if we cross a value that is held within it.

We begin to realize that all of our natural talents and passions naturally align to this feeling of what our life's purpose is and once that is matched to the common purpose held within the company we are a part of we feel tremendous loyalty to that organization. We feel that our work is worthwhile and that it serves something greater than ourselves, that adds a great deal of benefit to our wider community or the Earth as a whole. Our work becomes instantly something more inspiring and engaging and we give more of ourselves to it, increasing our energy levels, efficiency and productivity in the process.

What I think is interesting about the quadruple bottom line is that conceivably a company could adopt a triple bottom line strategy and still not really get the total idea behind it, until that is when the fourth element is introduced. If you are a reactive company that only acts when it is forced to adopt a greener ethos within its workplace and only concentrates on health and well being from a physical sense when considering staff benefits still placing its emphasis towards profit, you could still miss the point. For it is in the meaning of the work and what it is behind it that holds all the other bottom lines together, when both employers and staff recognize this the success of the business starts to rocket.

To begin to embrace the quadruple bottom line within your life or business maybe its time to get in contact with me, I look forward to your call or email.

To comment further on the quadruple bottom line why not visit my blog and add your opinion, it would be good to hear your thoughts on the matter too. Until next time Sx.
