Greetings!
This past month has been a bit of a challenge, I have
encountered obstacles never before placed in my path and
achieved things that I never previously thought possible.
These have all been tests of my resolve to be a life coach,
but they have all helped me come back even stronger in my
belief that this is truly what I am supposed to be doing here
at this time.
Two and a half years ago if you had said to me what I would
be doing now, what I would be most passionate about, what
I most wanted to help people with, and what I would be
having to do to achieve that, I would not have believed you,
nor would I have wanted to take up that challenge.
But that was back before I first discovered life coaching,
and the step by step process that has enabled me to
connect deeper with myself and what I ultimately want to be
doing in life. New doors and opportunities started to open up
for me, as soon as I engaged in the process and
by stepping through those doors one by one, I am now
where I am today. Where anything seems possible and my
whole view of life has changed as a result.
I have moved from a place of barely being able to say boo
to a goose outside my immediate circle of friends. To now
performing radio interviews, standing up and making
presentations to 40+ people, appearing in front of
cameras, being featured in 'The Source' magazine,
exhibiting myself wherever possible and amassing over 80
hours of coaching experience, helping many clients in the
process to enjoy happier lives.
Read about my own journey in more detail through the
following articles, see how you too can turn your life around
in just one day through my upcoming transformation days
and where you can get a free introduction to my
life coaching service over the next couple of months.
Is it time to take the next step forward in your own life?
Have a look at my newly revamped website to see how I
can help you specifically or contact me today to arrange an
appointment or book yourself on to one of my courses.
Best wishes
Simon.

My Own Journey
|
|
For the first 33 years of my life, I let others rule my
existence. I sought others help, asked others for their
opinion, believed others knew best for me and allowed
others to control my destiny. I constantly turned away from
what my inner voice was saying to me. There was an inner
core to my being but I was swayed all too often by the
buffeting that I encountered from others around me.
Right from fairly early childhood I had been bullied. Bulleying
that continued right through school, at college and then into
the workplace. Bulleying that I seemed powerless to stop.
Basically because I didn't have the right tools to hand nor
the right person to go to and get help.
At 33 I decided to choose another way. Not getting the
answers I was looking for from my immediate family and
friends, I sought counselling.
This was the best thing that I could ever have done for
myself, within one session my counselor had pinpointed my
problem with rapier like precision, I experienced my first
'eureka' moment as the mushroom cloud from my previous
existance rose up around me.
I realised it was up to me to take responsibility for my life
and start to rid myself of the things that I had put up with in
the past in order to take control of my own destiny.
This helped me to start to readdress the balance in my
relationships, leave an unfulfilling job, launch my own
business, discover my own authenticity, change
my vocation to become a life coach, pick up appropriate
training and learning, connect with what I am most talented
at doing and passionate about and start helping others in
the same way that others had helped me.
To a place where I am now 33 + 4 years on and counting,
where I have been able to turn things around very much for
the better, seeing the bigger picture for my own life, building
a strategy of how to get where I want to go and bringing
forward my own personal leadership as my confidence
levels continue to grow for the benefit of all.
Because I have been through the things I have in my life
and come out the other side for the better, I feel able to help
others who have found or are finding themselves in a
similar position. There is hope, there is an alternative view
worth thinking about, there is a way out of the situation you
find yourself in. There is another person you can talk to.

Spreading The Word
|
|
Thankfully now word seems to be spreading about all the
services that I can offer. The Set Your Spirit Free brand is
being ever more recognised.
Clients successfully
going through the coaching model are passing on their
experiences to others exclaiming how much benefit they
have recieved through life coaching.
With the graphic design service too, a good job done 18
months ago for Bewley Garage has led to the recent
completion of another corporate identity project for Blewitt
Financial.
Tim and Maria Blewiit heard about my services through Tim
Hart of Bewley and so it wasn't too long before not only a
logo was being produced for their new finance business but
also business stationery as well.
Tim and Maria offer between them, Independent Financial
Advice, Investment Planning, Pensions, Savings/ISA's,
Mortgages, Equity Release, IHT Planning, Book Keeping
and Sage Training.
Tim and Maria are very friendly people and a joy to work
with. So I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their financial
services to anyone. Contact maria@blewittfinancial.com if
you think their services could be of use to you.

A Positive Start
|
|
On Wednesday 21st May, PL:21's first event took place. 43
people turned up to see the film Message In The Waves. I
did an introductory presentation linking Ivybridge to Hawaii
lasting 15 minutes and Dr
Richard Thompson spoke for 50 minutes on microplastic in
the environment.
The evening went well and we managed to attract several
alternative bag suppliers to the event in order to encourage
shopkeepers and business owners within Ivybridge to
move towards
stocking alternative bags at their premises.
What is evolving out of the evening is a new bag for
Ivybridge made out of recycled off cuts from a leading
bed manufacturer being made up into bags by people
with learning difficulties from the Plymouth area, all branded
up with the new Ivybridge logo and soon to be on sale
through the Ivybridge Tourist Information Centre.
We hope that shoppers throughout Ivybridge will soon be
making full use of the bags in a bid to continue to raise
awareness of the plastic bag issue and the excessive
amount of plastic which now exists in our environment.
Other events connected to the ever pressing concerns of
climate change and peak oil will follow in due course.
