The Theory Tested!
Ask the majority of people why they are unable to live the
life that they want and they'll give you the answer that the
latest six little balls that have been released from Arthur or
Guinevere on a Saturday night as yet have not matched
their Lotto or indeed their "Dream" Number.
As a life coach, I would usually tend to advise clients not to
place such hopes on windfalls when the odds are so
obviously stacked against you, in order to start making
your dreams come true. Far better that you begin to
connect with what is truly unique about yourself and make
that your winning lottery ticket in life.
What then when you literally dream of winning the lottery?
What should you do then?
Why I ask is that little over a week ago, I was beginning to
ask myself what I needed to do next to supplement
my income as I continued about my purpose. Then I had
the dream and with it came the perfect opportunity to test
Goethe's theory it seemed.
I remember watching in amazement as I matched 6 out of 7
numbers in the lottery and walked away with a cool £40K in
my back pocket, all my imminent financial worries solved.
Needless to say it was not a particularly pleasant
experience when I woke up the next morning and realised
that unfortunately that had not been the case!!
A moral dilemma ensued, to play or not to play, that was the
question. Had my own self development turned me
into Hurley from Lost I wondered (Oh no, beware of the
numbers, man) or perhaps karma was
about to play a trick on me even though my name wasn't
Earl. What should I do??
I decided I had little to lose by playing, not having played the
lottery since the initial couple of weeks back in 1997 when
the novelty of picking six balls to win a few million soon
wore off through lack of success. So there I was last
Wednesday night 10 years on and arguably nearly £1000
richer in the pocket through not playing week in week out,
armed with the 6 numbers from the dream, 6 numbers I
would never normally have picked, all fingers firmly
crossed.
Lancelot whirred away and the first number popped out....
to my amazement... IT MATCHED.... my heart skipped a
beat... and I broke out in a cold sweat as number after
number continued to roll out and I couldn't believe my eyes
as my card began to fill up.... I HAD INDEED WON THE
LOTTERY!!! Sadly, I fell 3 numbers short of
my target and was £39990 lighter in the pocket than the
dream. However, I was indeed a winner so worth doing
perhaps?? Others of you maybe able to
advise me further. This was the richest dream I had ever
had and my own evidence perhaps of just what is possible
when we do follow our dreams.
