'57 Chevy Project
If you have been by the shop recently you have likely seen this '57 Chevy. We have really done it up nice starting with completely sound deadening all the interior panels of the car. This includes the firewall, floor pan, doors, roof, trunk and trunk lid. There may not be another car with more Dynamat products. We used a combination of Extreme, Dynaliner and Hoodliner.
Bass performance is provided by three JL Audio 10W6 woofers in a custom sound deadened enclosure. SPL enters the cockpit via a custom port arrangement in the rear shelf.
The trunk lid was fabricated by molding the factory lid and customizing it with a Chevy emblem, kill switch, new carpet and trunk liner. Alpine PDX amplifiers, Zapco Reference Sound Dynamic speakers provide sound quality. Processing is via Audio Control DQXS and Epicenter. Power current is supplied via a Kinetik High Current battery and Monster 1.0 farad capacitor. Wiring is from Monster Cable and JL Audio.
Check out the custom head unit motorization for the Alpine deck. When off the dash looks totally stock but when the factory Chevy radio is turned on the Alpine motors up to expose the head unit. The kick panels were fabricated in our shop and all seats and panels were reupholstered using genuine reproduction Chevy materials.
Special thanks to our Car Manager and Lead Fabricator CJ for his beautiful work. CJ even modified the rear tail lights using original '57 Chevy dome light housings. Very cool.
