Clergy, Delegates, and Alternates are all asked to attend the January Convocation meetings in advance of Council.  These meetings are Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the times and locations listed at the right. In case of inclement weather, the Dean and President will decide if the meeting will be held on the snow date of Sunday, January 23.

Council Reminders

Please remember to bring your January booklet to Council!  You will receive a printed copy of the information in this email at convocation meetings.  It contains most of the information you will need for the weekend's activities and business.  Included also is a page for you to take notes on during the convocation meeting and at Council itself.

Please remember, too, that incidental costs, such as the cost of parking and breakfast, are not included in your registration fee.

Council Check-in times:
  • Clergy and Spouses--Friday from 9:30 to 10 am
  • Delegates/Alternates/Guests/Visitors--Friday from 12:30 to 3:30 pm

Council business begins Friday, January 28, at 2 pm.


 

The Bishop's Address to Council will take place at 2:30 pm on Friday.
 

The Finance Committee, Resolutions Committee, and Constitution and Canons Committee will be available at an open hearing on Friday of Council at 4 pm.

Augusta:  R. E. Lee Memorial, Lexington 3-5 pm

Lynchburg:  St. John's, Lynchburg 2:30-4:30 pm

New River:  St. Thomas', Christiansburg 3-5 pm

Roanoke:  St. James', Roanoke 2:30-4:30 pm
