Resident Spotlight: The Voss Family

voss family Mercy Housing Lakefront opened the Wentworth Commons Apartments in June 2005 and soon became home to 24 single adults and 27 families, including 85 children who were formerly homeless or at great risk of becoming homeless. The Wentworth became more than a home to the Voss Family.  It enabled them to live in hope of a better future.
Volunteer Spotlight: A summer of corporate service
This summer over a hundred volunteers rolled up their sleeves to become part of Mercy Housing Lakefront's corporate service initiative. Through this initiative, our corporate partners made a major difference in the lives of our residents.

Volunteers from Equity Residential
equity volunteers
The summer kicked off with a housewarming event sponsored by one of our long time supporters, Equity Residential. Along with a generous $100,000 national donation to our mission, twenty-five employees volunteered their time at the Englewood Apartments. Because of their efforts, ninety-nine individuals will receive a very warm welcome to their new homes through a welcome home gift basket and a hand painted "Live in Hope" picture frame.
